Skvrňany is a modern residential complex consisting of seven apartment buildings that will appeal to those seeking spacious living with their own neighborhood park, excellent accessibility, proximity to nature, and clean air.

The six-story buildings have been seamlessly integrated into the surrounding development, where there is ample greenery and excellent connections to the city center. The simple and playful architectural style blends perfectly with the central park, which serves not only as a natural relaxation area but also as a meeting point, the focal center of the entire complex. The Skvrňany project is based on the proven concept of „Smart Living,“ which ensures healthy and safe living, environmental friendliness, and affordability for its residents.

Nekap was responsible for the waterproofing of the underground structure, along with waterproofing joints, penetrations, and other details. For these areas, the Manorteq WaterBar Rigid system was proposed to the design team to be used in combination with the Xypex Admix C-Series and provide a complete waterproof solution.

The incorporation of the Manorteq WaterBar Rigid KJ into the slab ensured a complete seal was created at the transition to the wall. As Manorteq offers as a full interconnecting system, the Manorteq WaterBar Rigid CJ was then installed in specified construction joints and connected to the Manorteq WaterBar Rigid KJ using tie-wire.

To allow for larger pours, the Manorteq WaterBar Rigid CI was also installed at designated construction joints. By inducing a controlled aesthetically pleasing waterproof crack, the inclusion of the Manorteq WaterBar Rigid CI was ultimately able to increase the speed of concrete placement and reduce overall the construction timeframe.

By utilising the complete Xypex and Manorteq solution, provided by one supplier, Manorteq products were able to complete the waterproofing and protect the structure against the harsh natural environment.
