Barford · United Kingdom · General Construction
St Peter’s Church, located in the village of Barford, was originally constructed around 1200 A.D. and stood for approximately 600 years before being rebuilt in 1844. The church remains in active use today and recently underwent the installation of a Freezteq damp-proof course to address persistent rising damp issues.
The area of construction treated consisted of random course stonework, formed from exceptionally hard ironstone cobbles. Wall thicknesses ranged between 685 mm and 1220 mm, making the adaptable nature of Freezteq a practical and effective choice for this historic structure.
Freezteq’s slow diffusion process, ideal for combatting rising damp in older buildings, ensured accurate dosage whilst minimising damage while significantly reducing material waste.
