Rehabilitation of Bridge

Manorteq products were a key component in the rehabilitation of this bridge found in Livotel, Czech Republic.

Manorteq AquaRend Thix mortar was applied over Manorteq AquaRend Fix-B in the rehabilitation of the arch walls on the underside of the bridge and the abutments.

Once the substrate had been cleaned and prepared, it was deemed necessary to first install Manorteq AquaRend Fix-B to provide additional reinforcement. Anchored to the substructure, the inclusion of Manorteq AquaRend Fix-B meant that the bridge abutments could be rehabilitated regardless of the poor condition and quality of the substructure.

Once reinforced, the bridge abutments and the penetrations, through which the storm sewer is connected to the watercourse channel, were repaired with Manorteq AquaRend Thix. Due to the unique technology of Manorteq AquaRend Thix, a crystalline matrix is formed within the mortar itself, whilst also ensuring the pore structure of the original concrete was sealed. This provided both waterproofing and chemical protection.

By utilising Manorteq AquaRend Thix with Manorteq AquaRend Fix-B it became possible to rehabilitate this existing structure which was then completed with further repairs to the guide and flood portal of the bridge, as well as the railings.
